"Say; The things that my Lord has indeed forbidden are: Shameful deeds, whether open or secret; sins and trespasses against truth or reason; assigning of partners to Allah, for which He has given no authority: And saying things about Allah of which you have no knowledge." Quran. Sura-7; Ayat-33
Allah is ever watching over us, therefore we must abide by His laws regardless whether we are in public or are alone.
Assigning partners or adding to the religion of Allah are considered major sins. Such trespasses may have a chain reaction and may have a big following. The sins of all who are misguided may rest on the shoulders of the person who initiated the chain.
